WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
I have always believed that fashion was not only to make women more beautiful, but also to reassure them, give them confidence.

Oregon Boudoir Photography: Ember Bliss Boudoir’s Client Closet Must Knows!
A boudoir session is meant to be a confidence inspiring and empowering experience, and part of feeling confident and beautiful in front of the camera comes from what you wear. To help you make the most of your session with me (Kelly) at my Oregon Boudoir Studio, we’ve put together a guide on what to bring and wear to ensure you look and feel your best. From lingerie to jewelry, we’ve got you covered!
Bring Multiple Lingerie Outfits
When selecting outfits for your boudoir shoot, variety is key! Consider bringing multiple lingerie looks so that you can switch it up during your session. Some essential pieces to bring include a teddy or body suit, which is wonderful for helping you start your session feeling covered (but not too covered!) and hiding any potential insecurities that you aren’t quite warmed up and ready to flaunt just yet. A multi-piece set, such as one with stockings, a garter belt, and a bra and panty set, can give a timeless, sultry vibe, but also just make you feel like an absolute BADASS with a nice ass! Opt for either cheeky panties or thongs on the butt area, and you can always go for high-waisted if you want to cover up some lovehandles or tummy fluff! Also, don’t forget about that classic, feminine bra and panty set—sometimes simple is best! If you have anything meaningful to you, like your partner’s jersey or a button-down shirt, feel free to bring those along, too. These can add a personal and intimate touch to your session ESPECIALLY if it happens to be a gift for them for Christmas/Valentines/Anniversary/etc. Finally, heels can elevate any outfit and make you feel extra glamorous, so be sure to pack a pair of your favorite stilettos or pumps. I personally LOVE the stilettos or “Stripper Heels.” Pretty much any heel that is closed-toe and TALL AS HELL – AKA, ankle breakers (don’t worry, I won’t make you walk in them, we’ll carry them around to the pose spots!) look the best! So definitely go crazy for your session heels! Avoid the “office, easy to walk in, not giving sexy vibes” type of heels. You want you butt and your legs lookin’ PUMPED and the taller the heels, the better they’ll look! I have a HUGE variety of heels from stilettos to “not-so-stiletto” type heels that are also equally beautiful! Plus they range from sizes 6-12!
Ensure Your Outfits Are Ready for the Shoot
It’s important to make sure your outfits are in top shape before your session. Try everything on beforehand to ensure it fits perfectly and flatters your body in the right places. If there are any tags, be sure to cut them off ahead of time to avoid any discomfort or visible lines. Wrinkles can distract from the look of your lingerie, so make sure everything is steamed or ironed before packing it (and pack it nicely or just carry it in on a hanger!). For shoes, check that the bottoms of your heels are clean or brand new—no one wants to see scuff marks in their photos and I only photoshop the heels from the Client Closet so if you bring heels that aren’t very pretty down below, that’s going to be seen in your photos! Plus, we do a lot of poses that show the bottom of the heels so it is pretty important! Lastly, inspect your lingerie for any holes or loose threads, as these can be distracting in your pictures and may require an additional retouching fee to remove any of these things that could’ve been avoided beforehand! Taking these steps ensures that you’ll feel comfortable and confident during your session, but most importantly- You’ll end up with the MOST gorgeous images ever! I’ve been doing this for years and a hole in your lingerie is not going to ruin your photos (so don’t stress!) and often times, it’s fixable in editing! BUT, it’s better to ensure that you don’t have any regardless.
Jewelry to Complement Your Outfits
Jewelry is a beautiful way to add that extra sparkle to your boudoir session. Simple, elegant pieces work best, as they won’t compete with your outfits. Don’t go too overboard on giant, bulky items that will grab attention and take the spotlight away from your beautiful face! Consider bringing delicate necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings that can complement your lingerie and add a touch of glamour. A dainty necklace can draw attention to your neckline, while a subtle bracelet or ring can complete the look without overpowering it. Don’t be afraid to play with different styles, but remember to keep it simple so that your lingerie and natural beauty remain the focal point. We do have a handful of jewelry that you’re more than welcome to borrow from in the client closet at our Oregon Boudoir Studio! So, if you forget, don’t fret! I’ve got you covered there too!
Don’t Forget the Basics
Even if you’re not sure about which outfits to bring, there are a few staples you should definitely have in your bag. A nude or black thong and a matching bra and panty set are essential items for any boudoir session. These basics are versatile and can be dressed up with glamour robes, body chains, or even your favorite accessories. In case the client closet doesn’t have something you love or doesn’t fit you just right, these items will ensure you’re still able to create a stunning look. Plus, they work well for any type of boudoir shoot, whether you’re going for a romantic, sensual, or bold vibe. I’m VERY confident in the client closet. I’ve curated the most gorgeous pieces in XS-5X that I have not had a single client not find AT LEAST two outfits they loved! Plus, I have the glamour robes, body chains (an insane amount really), and so much more for you to borrow! I’ve got you covered but it doesn’t hurt to help feel prepared by bringing the staples with you just in case!
